This is a list of gestures (bodily actions) that can be used in place of silent communication commands. I can think of several ways this could be implemented: an imaging sensor from smart dust taking a picture and pattern matching, neural dust on the spine interpreting muscle movements and smart dust sensors on the fingers sensing movement with a gyroscope/accelerometer. I believe the latter is the most likely, as it would be the simplest to implement. The research paper An Ultra-Low Energy Microcontroller for Smart Dust Wireless Sensor Networks by Brett A. Warneke and Kristofer S.J. Pister mentions “fingertip accelerometer virtual keyboards” in the first paragraph.
I’ve only recorded video for hand signals, but raw dumps of all my notes are available.
It seems like the purpose of these is not only to send commands, but also to monitor body movements. Many gestures correspond with phosphene visualizations.
